Maths6 are offering a fantastic new course over the summer months. Whilst teachers enjoy a very well-deserved summer break the
Maths6 team will be very busy preparing the next generation of A-level Maths students.
‘PREPARING FOR A-LEVEL MATHS’ is a bespoke course developed by A-level specialist tutors. The course is targeted at Y11 school leavers who are planning to enrol for A-level Maths at Sixth Form College in September 2021. The course has been specifically designed to enhance and develop algebra and reasoning skills, all carefully scaffolded and delivered by experienced and expert A-level Maths tutors.
The course consists of 5 one-hour small group tutorials that students will attend in groups of up to 10. The course will be delivered via MICROSOFT TEAMS. Students will attend a 1 hour-tutorial each day over the course of a week, from Monday to Friday. Each day the course will look to develop/enhance a different algebraic skill essential to help prepare maths students for their A-level study. Each tutorial is backed up with a 1 hour directed learning activity/task which is directly connected to the session content.
